On Wednesday, Volodymyr Lytvyn,
Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met
Ho Dac Minh
Nguyet, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic
of Vietnam to Ukraine.
In the beginning of the meeting, V.Lytvyn called for promoting fruitful comprehensive bilateral cooperation. He claimed to be under the impression of the official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the end of 2010. "The growth of Vietnam has a solid foundation, as every person should be settled in life. The future of every country depends on the possibility of self-realization of every citizen," V.Lytvyn stated.
The Ambassador stressed that Vietnam and Ukraine had established a solid inter-parliamentary
dialogue. She expects the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam to visit
Kyiv and give impetus to the development of relations between the legislative
bodies. According to Ho
Dac Minh Nguyet,
the visit of the parliamentary delegation headed by the
Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
evoked a wide response in the Vietnamese society. In February, Kostiantyn Hryshchenko, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, will visit Vietnam; while in March, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych will pay an official visit.
According to Ho Dac Minh Nguyet, the 11th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam opens today to elect the new leaders. She stressed that the politics of Vietnam concerning Ukraine "will not change, as there are no collisions, we support each other on the international scene, and have numerous opportunities for sustainable cooperation." "We regard Ukraine as an essential and promising partner of Vietnam in Europe," the Ambassador declared.
V.Lytvyn expects that "the Congress will be successful, as it is a critical stage in the state development." The Head of the Parliament attaches great importance to the experience of Vietnam in the development of a modern society.
